Throughout my adult life, I have explored various fields, including retail management, human resources, and mental health. However, I always felt a deep calling to give back to my community. It wasn’t until I discovered my passion for early childhood education that I truly found my purpose. In 2020, I took a bold step and embraced this calling by purchasing an extended home daycare, where I have been creating a nurturing and joyful environment for children ever since. Working with children has been one of the most fulfilling experiences of my life. Each day, I am driven by the desire to be the best childcare provider and educator I can be. To enhance my skills and knowledge, I have returned to school to earn my degree in early childhood education. Waking up each morning to welcome the children with love, empathy, and gratitude fills me with excitement and joy. Witnessing their growth and this beautiful exchange of energy is the most rewarding part of my day.
As I look to the future, my ultimate goal is to expand my services and open a center that can reach even more children in our community. About First Choice Day care
First Choice Daycare recognizes and respects the unique differences of the families we serve. Therefore, we have chosen to implement an anti-bias curriculum. We strive to provide activities that are multicultural, gender fair and disability sensitive. We follow Washington DC Model for School readiness- which is always being reviewed and updated by the Washington DC department of Education. Our curriculum is broken down into language/literacy, mathematics, science, social/emotional skills, cognitive development, health and physical development, and social studies.
